Finally- A Date!

My appointment last Friday was pretty anti-climatic; no progression so just more waiting. Ben and I went back yesterday for the 40-week check and an ultrasound. The ultrasound had us laughing... The current weight estimate came back at 11 pounds 5 ounces!!! I had an internal check after that and still am not progressing at all. We're not sure if it will work, but we're scheduled for an induction next week! We check in Monday afternoon and I'll get various medicines that will hopefully start labor. If I'm still not progressing with the help of the medicines, it looks like Isabelle will arrive via c-section. If she does end up being as big as the ultrasound predicts, I'm OK with a c-section! :)

Our First Post!

Welcome to my first ever blog attempt! :)

Looking quite tired at 38 weeks... Things are going well, though I've reached the point of no longer wanting to be pregnant and am ready for Isabelle to arrive. We had a quiet Easter weekend here in Savannah. We certainly missed being with family, but we know we have a very limited number of days as just the two of us, so we're trying to enjoy them! The weather was really nice all weekend and we went for several long walks, once at Tybee, and did some yard work.

Here are a few pictures of the nursery. It's basically complete, minus a little more laundry I still need to do. There are lots of people who helped make the room come together so well: Mom made or helped with just about all the fabric projects, Ben's family gave us the glider from Mema's house, Sydney painted the canvas over the changing table and helped me with the monogram canvas over the crib, and countless people stocked that closet for us!! :)

I suppose that's about all for now. I'll try to post again Friday after my next appointment.
